Unit 8 “Don Quixote” (Required)

In Don Quixote, how does the diction (word choice) of Cervantes’ narrative serve as a parody of chivalric romances? Define the word "parody" and use quotations to illustrate your points.

  1. Parody is when they make a movies or a story funny or immating others. In Don Quixote he pictures himself as a warrior or knight. Going to conquer his princess. When he is actually an old poor landowner. He is not okay from his head. He actually crazy. Don Quixote thinks the mindmills are giants and tries to slay them. In the story they show a lot of parody.

  2. I dont think Don Quixote is performed becaus he is crazy and always doing insane things and whants to try everything. I tink Sancho Panzo is more performed then Don Quixote because even thoe he is dumb he has some sence of not doing crazy stunts like Don Quixote
